Well nothings wrong with their software really, just theirs better alternatives.

I haven't used their support before so I don't know about that.

I think that their web development software is a little biased towards Windows platforms which is why I don't use them.

Yes, i've heard that too and for the most part people on their forums aren't that helpful either.

I think regular text editors are fine choices for HTML but I think notepad isn't a good choice I have had trouble with stuff that works fine with my gedit.

How come? I can understand the ASP.NET support, but normal HTML files don't have any bias, do they?

well wouldn't you think that Microsoft software would write HTML that works properly in IE?

Not from what I've seen - I never use the Design view, only Code view. Therefore, I never suffer from this problem - and even in design view, it writes good, clean code, so I can't see how it wouldn't work out. The only thing is that the WYSIWIG is displayed using an IE render, so you can see how IE is gonna display it. And if IE can display it, then the other browsers probably will too, because IE is the worst at rendering pages.
