Rank Languages - Greatest to ****tiest

I want to give a general list of languages you should think of including, of course you can include whatever languages you want in this list.

C, C++, Managed C++, VB 6, VB.NET, C#, Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, Bash, Batch, HTML, PASCAL, D, and anymore you want to include.

My list...

Assembly > C > C++ > Python > PHP > Ruby > Managed C++ > C# > Perl > HTML > Bash > VB 6 > VB.NET > Batch

It's somewhat hard to rank them, outside of a context. Here's a rough take on it, though
C++ > Pascal > ColdFusion > C > ASP > Java > Assembly

It is a bit hard to rank them when combining web based languages and desktop. Here is the overall ranking

C++ (All forms, including managed) > PHP > C# > Bash > Java > Ruby > C > Perl > Assembly > ASP > VB (6.0 and .NET) > Batch

I'm thinking most efficient language for the job. .net isn't the most efficient language to use when c++ exists

Most efficient in terms of what? Using .NET you can build a GUI in minutes - thats pretty efficient
