Question fed up with ms visual studio

hi all,
i really got tired with microsoft visual studio ide, ive been using it for the last year and half. and i really need to move on to something new without many dependencies....
so what do u guys recommend??

It depends a bit on what language you want to use. For C++, I can recommend Code::Blocks or Dev-C++. CrimsonEditor/EmeraldEditor also has support for a variety of languages and can call compilers.

i used vb and c++ befor, and currently using c#
but i would do anything to get rid off visual studio
