Yes, I think it's an elementary school. The school system in the US (and other countries) are different from the school system here in Denmark. In Danish, I'm in a "folkeskole." It's the school where you're from 0th to 9th grade.

Well, interesting. I think that this school system could be a lot better then our, because people have more time to make important decisions.

Well, I don't know how the school system is where you are, R-G, so I can't say how it is compared to our school system. But I'm quite happy with the school system here.

Our school system in the UK is alright. We could lay off the exams a tad, though. Apparently most other countries don't take exams anywhere near as often as us.

We do only have a single "serious" exam in the elementary school here in Denmark, and that's when you're finishing 9th grade (which I'm going to do very soon). When you attend gymnasier (somewhat like american high schools) and universities it's up to each of the school how the exams are, and how many there are.

I know it's much harder in Finland, where you have an exam each year in elementary school, and if you do not pass, you can't make it to next grade.

Ouch. We do end-of-year exams, too - in fact, in some subjects we have exams after every single topic! For example, in Maths, we have a test for Algebra, Rounding, Ratio, Trigonometry, Circles...
