Real time data

I would like to ask how to handle real time data like the live forex quote at FX Universal - Forex Trading, Online Currency Trading and Forex Signals Services
It was done by Flash. Are real time data coded by either flash or java?

The real time data is probably handled by simple requests (http or otherwise) and then displayed. All it needs is a frequent refresh. You need to know the source of the data and the protocol to tap into it.
