    about header editing

    HI!

I have 6 GB RAM and PAE in use with Win XP (32 bit) and Vista (64 bit) = dual boot.

I have editbin and dumpbin.exe programs which allows to modify exe headers to accept more memory in programs (large address aware setting) which means program can use as much memory as they can (3.25GB in 32 bit OS and at least 4GB in 64 bit OS). I know you are familiar with that.

Only problem is that editbin and dumpbin are OLD , year 1998 version. Is there any newer version? few month old or something? Or other similar freeware which is Vista 32/64bit + XP 32bit compatible.

If I am correct editbin is part of Visual Studio? yes? That Studio is TOO large for my use. And if I am right editbin doesn´t work alone anymore, like in 1998.

    thanx

I dont know about editbin but dump bin is part of VS. Not the express editions though.
