Question Hi all, question about exe file

Hi all... im new around here and im looking for a way to do something:

i have 2 executable files, but i only want to allow 1 to be executed directly. That file will have an option to call the other executable file.
I've seen that around many times, and when ppl try to run the blocked file they'd get a message: To run abc.exe you must go through xyz.exe (this is just an example).

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance and i hope to learn a lot from you guys.

you can make that only through programming I think.

yeah i think it has to do with dll's, not sure though.
This exe's im talking about both have dll's, so i think it should be a question of modifying them... not sure though.

I doubt you can do this without the source code.. and you dont need to use DLL files.

One of the tricks that I use is to require a specific parameter on the second executable. If the executable is not called with that parameter, it immediately closes.

you can do this by checking if the first exe file is running in your second exe file.
