Assembly tutorials

It's pretty hard to find decent assembly tutorials online, mainly because it's become the programming equivalent of Latin; still useful in understanding current languages but not good to be used itself (good analogy, aye?) I'm just wondering if there are any tutorials, I don't wish to learn assembly, I just want to understand it a little better.
