    Processing

Anyone used or heard of the language Processing (Processing 1.0 (BETA))? Looks kind of cool...but an awful lot like Java. Is it just a graphically oriented version of Java stuck in a nice IDE? That's what it seems like to me. Anyway, if you don't know about it yet, take a look. It's interesting.

I've heard a little about that language before, and yes it's just (from what I've heard) a simplified version of Java, aiming at the graphical part. It aims to make it simpler to use Java, so should be a good learning language. Except for that, it adds some extra features, which isn't in Java. I can't say which features, it's just something I've heard.

I've heard of it before but never really took an interest. It does look pretty neat though. It is Java, if you look at the samples you see the coffee cup loading before the application.
