The reality is that if you know how to program, you can pick up almost any language as you go. It's more important to be familiar with the major paradigms (OOP, procedural, structured, event-driven) so you can adapt to the nature of the language than it is to know every language out there. The reality is that if you can program, then you will use the language that your company uses. I love C++, my company uses Delphi. I program in Delphi at work.
