Which programming language should I use?

I'm planning on creating an application/script that first of all is "invisible", meaning that it doesn't show up in any form of windows or applets (except for the fact that the process itself is visible in task manager). Secondly its task is to at a certain time, maximize the volume control and bring up a certain website.

I know some Java since earlier but I'm guessing it ain't up for the job, and since I don't have any knowledge about many of the other languages, I'm asking you for your help with this question.

So which language would you suggest that I use on this project?

I think Java would be fine for this job, but so would most languages. Maybe best to stick with the one you know!
