Network/Web Contact List Database

I need to create or find a software package which works as a web/network based contact list.

The list needs to be able to store the usual... Company name, Person Name, Email, Phone, etc. Also each company needs to be assigned a “reference number” and check box for a Primary contact. It needs to be easy to update and view information.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on this? This is probably going to be a network based system, accessible through a web browser, and searchable by name, company, or reference number.

Originally I was wondering if there is some sort of PHP application that I can install on my webserver to do this, but with my limited knowledge I have been unable to locate one. Another thought is Java.

You can do this fairly easily in PHP or Java.
