    vim as an IDE

Recently stumbled across a site describing how to use vim as a powerful IDE for python (and other languages) and after only a few days I'm really starting to like it. It's highly customizable and still not too hard to use (atleast if your only looking at the basics).

But does anyone else here use vim as your IDE? And if that's the case do you have any "must have" plugins or awesome feature you would recommend to me?

And if you aren't using vim, what are you using and why?

I use gVIM as my backup when jEdit starts letting me down.
