The +rep Wiki Page Thread

This thread has been a long time coming and should have been created many, many months ago. So, without further ado, here it is.

Rules: Create a new Wiki page about any programming^Wiki topic. The page must be 100 words or more and cannot be a single paragraph/line/sentence.
Submission: Post a link to your newly created Wiki page in this thread to receive reward(s).
Rewards: +rep - I encourage everyone to +rep anyone that creates a new page. This will encourage members to create a page and gain promotion status similar to when a user posts a new tutorial.

You may be wondering why this thread is in the General Programming^Wiki section instead of announcements, lounge or anywhere else and these are the reasons:

• +rep is capped in non-programming sections to 2. Here you will receive full +15
• The Wiki is about programming topics so General Programming^Wiki relates

How do I create a page? You can read the instructions posted in the announcement forum here. It will teach you how to create a new page and how to use code tags.

Want to create a page but don't know what to write? Easy. We have a list of wanted pages. These are the pages that need to be created.

If you need help, feel free to contact me but I probably won't be much assistance. The true moderators of the Wiki are Orjan and v0id. They have built and configured it to what it is now and they fully understand it. I suggest starting with them.

Don't forget to use the Wiki Buttons when creating threads/posts!

The wiki buttons are the two new buttons to the right of the Code button. They allow you to link a highlighted piece of text to a Wiki page and allow you to link a username to the wiki user page.

Here is an example user page: User:Orjan - CodeCall Programming Wiki
User:V0id - CodeCall Programming Wiki

The wiki buttons also add the superscript "wiki" link to text, here is an example: programming^Wiki. Use them whenever posting text that has a wiki page.

I don't really know how creating wikis work. Can you search the net, read from different pages and then write your own page about it and add links to where you found it?

About how to write wiki pages, of course, surprise! we created a wiki page about it. see Help:Guidelines^Wiki to get some general advice on wiki pages and some specific advices on our wiki.

There is a few basic terms that isn't common outside the wiki worlds, or at least has a specific meaning. I've just started out a Help:Wordlist^Wiki where you can see what things means.
