First HTML course, i had was like two days of HTML, we did links and images and bold, italics and underlines and thats it.

I think are school should teach C#, but the only C language, they teach is C++, which they teach before VB. which is so weird.

Java IMO, due to the fact it is not frowned upon like VB is, but IMO C# wins my heart!

C# is great, and .NET is quick. Every single time I run a Java app, my whole system bogs down. The app itself is slower than mol***es too.

That was my main complaint when I was programming Java. I had a slow machine for development at the time and It seemed to slow down considerably to run the Java applications.

Compare .NET to C++, then no, it's slow. I wouldn't write a major 3-D game graphics engine in C#. However, I wouldn't want to write even a word processor in Java. The framework, especially on Windows, is is incredibly unreliable, regardless of version. On both Linux and Windows, it's slower than crap. If I needed managed code for Linux, I'd rather write a .NET 1.1 app with mono than write a Java app.
