I guess my high school curriculum is smart, teaching C++ but they do it in a weird order:

1st year: C++
2nd year: VB
3rd year: Java

My school teaches no programming. But if you do this tech thing I do, you have to take VB your senior year. Which I am pretty pissed about taking next year. I really don't want some community college teacher shoving VB down my throat next year.

Really? They don't have one programming course? Now that is weird. You should be able to ace Visual Basic with ease though. But it's knowledge that you probably don't need.

Yeah we offer no programming. Yeah I'm not worried about getting an A in the course, it's just I really don't like Basic, and a class on it is probably going to be hell.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's a useless class to take I think. Still even though, you hate basic, you should be easy to do well in it.

I'm doing a VB course also, so it will probably be awful. I may drop it, if theirs something else available to take instead.

Yeah it's free, but I'd much rather taking a programming class on something that is actually useful.

Isn't it a bit useful, if your into ASP.NET? But then again, theirs an open-source alternative to ASP, which is easier. So I'm yet to see an actual purpose to waste time with VB

I look at it this way:
1. I have to go to a school with lots of boring subjects
2. The school offers an IT class (2nd and 3rd year) where they teach C#.
3. I better take that...
