How to start? Confused!!!!
Dear Friends,
I am 30 years old married guy from INDIA. I am really confused and need some sincere advice from you guys.
I am a Post Graduate in Computers. I have completed MCA (Masters of Computer Applications) regular in 2003 with 90% marks from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The subjects that I have read are all theoratical. I have done a little programming during my studies. So it was obvious, I have never applied for a job in companies as all good companies need programming skills.
I have started my own computer center by taking loan from banks. Unfortunately the output from center is almost 0. And now after 5 years i am standing at the same place where I was when I have started this venture.
I think now its time to shift and to make my carrier. I have decided many times but unable to choose the line. This is where I need your advice. You can say that I have 0 programming skills. I have to start from scratch. What should I do so that I can enter the market as soon as possible. Which option you think is best. I have asked few friends who were my classmates and are now in good companies. They have told me that it depends on your interest. But I can't able to decide. I dont know where my interest is. One thing I know that I cannot develop logics bec my mind is never free. It keeps on thinking one thing or other.I have done C/C++. I have done pointers etc. in C++. Which way I should go??
1. .NET
2. Java , J2EE
3. Oracle / Database Administrator
4. Linux
5. Unix
6. Networking (MCSE, CCNA)
Kindly advice so that I can start.
With Regards
your situation isnt very bad,
in my opinion,
start with c#.NET since you know the syntax of c++
read some books, it wont be hard depending on the book you are using
do mini projects like calculator, simple browser...then move on to databases and sql server ( how to connect to a database, get, update and delete records and stuff)
after that it wont hurt learning some web applications using asp.net
-i hope that helped , always come here for help
yo homie i heard you like one-line codes so i put a one line code that evals a decrypted one line code that prints "i love one line codes"
www.amrosama.com | the unholy methods of javascriptCode:eval(base64_decode("cHJpbnQgJ2kgbG92ZSBvbmUtbGluZSBjb2Rlcyc7"));
If you enjoy programming go with #1 or #2. If you enjoy administration better go with #3-6.
Coding a browser is simple programming?
Wow.

Doing the aforementioned stuff is definitely not coding a browser. Code an engine, that would be some impressive ****.
@Meth0dz: Why do you argue about stupid ****?
