    Ask me: Guest

Hello, my name is Alex. I am new here, but I am very interested in programming and I hope to be an active user here. A lot of other people have Ask me threads and I want others to get to know me. You can ask me anything you want, although I will choose if I want to answer or not. (I probably will unless it is really private or something strange). Even though I don't have 1000+ posts like everyone else with an Ask me thread, I hope I will someday. Okay ask away.

I don't really like object oriented programming for some reason. Maybe I am just weird that way, because a lot of people prefer C++ over C.

    Continuing flamebait...all in good fun.

Why Python, of all the abominations in the world? The whole indentation thing seems stupid to me. Perl is just as powerful (if not more), and it doesn't care whether you use tabs, spaces, or even indent at all. Only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a switch statement, but I hear there's an equivalent coming soon called given.

@MathX: Yeah I kind of know you because I took some time to read you ask me thread. (Not the whole thing, just a few pages)

@Dargueta: I like python because my friends at school use it. It is very easy to code with. I also think indentation makes the code very readable. Python is very good for quick fix solutions.

    Re: Ask me: Alex

I am not addicted to Python, I usually use C. Quick fix solutions are not a bad thing either. Sometimes I just need something to parse text.
