Anyone has tried this? May I ask if it is working and how good? Thank you in advance.

    Looks like someone has

How to Get Battlefield 2142 Working on Linux - wikiHow

It also says the punkBuster isn't a problem (right now). I wonder what the FPS is.

Wow, thanks for the great answer. I have had problems with PunkBuster under Linux in the past. I will check it out.

Seems like a great guide. If anyone gets it running I'd interested to know the FPS as well and maybe the FPS you get in Windows.

I think you could get the FPS around 28-30 with a very good machine and with Cedega. Under Windows there is no problem at all.

Before cod4, BF2 was my only fps that i played online, i can't complain with the 32 vs 32 players in a single server. The only gripe is the hard learning curve on Jets and Copters.

I would never play any game under linux unless somebody managed to get the same fps (same settings of course) and no screen taring, as windows/os x.

OK, so what's holding you back? A lighter OS = better fps. No problem.
