Just curious if you ahve any plans for venturing into Joomla 1.5 with this component?

Hi,

EasyContact is a very useful component (1.2 version) but it does'nt work with Joomla 1.5.3

When I click on "Envoyer" (send) the following error message is displayed :

Fatal error: Call to undefined method mosMainFrame::sessioncookiename() in /homepages/46/d225595910/htdocs/Joomla/components/com_easycontact/easycontact.php on line 366

The line in easycontact.php is :

$sessionCookieName 	= mosMainFrame::sessionCookieName();

There is also a problem in the backend.
There are 2 tabs : "Config" and "About", bus in the Config Tab there is the same texte as in About tab : no parameters are displayed.

It hasn't been ported to Joomla! 1.5 yet. I still have plans to do so but haven't had the time lately.

Excellent component... Earlier in this thread, someone asked if there is a way to send a message (via Easy Contact) to more than one contact. Was that answered? Is there a way to send to two email addresses?

i am having an issue with spammers through this component. i have checked to make sure that the captcha option is actually turned on, that i have PHP GD installed correctly, and that it is displaying correctly on the web site where it is installed. even though one must fill out the captcha in order to send a message, i'm still getting spam through this component. any thoughts?

Real people can still send email spam. There is nothing that can prevent that. How often are you getting spam?

about 20 per day, so i guess it could be some really bored spammer sending me a bunch of junk.

by the way, i do enjoy the component. it's very easy to set up and, thanks for the quick reply. i didn't expect to get a reply so quickly.

It is probably coming from multiple people unless they are advertising the same site/URL. Does your site get a lot of visitors? What does the spam email look like (remove all URLs from it if you post it)?
