migration from of app delphi 2 to delphi 7

Is it possible to migrate application written in Delphi 2 to a higher version like Delphi 7?
Is it is possible, what changes will be required?
If not possible, which is the highest version to which one can migrate a delphi 2 app & how?

So you suggest that I make a comparative study of the various components used in the code of Delphi 2 and then try and look for replacements of the same in Delphi 7.

Your VCL components will probably require minimal changes. That will help you restrict your search to any 3rd party components used.
