I think so. Borland usually has a trial and the programs it compiles only run for 30 days or so.

I have seen it but I have never done any development with it. It does look very nice although I prefer the Visual Studio that microsoft makes.

Pardon my ignorance but what does Delphi really do? Is this also a programming language? If so, what kind of softwares it can create and how are they used in the IT industry?

No. I'm still at Delphi 7 from back in 2002.

I have not seen any reason to upgrade for the last few years. I have written a few shareware apps in Delphi and do not need the .net stuff or any of the other new features found in the 2006 release.
