Python was the first language I tried

I remember when I first got into programming (well, first tried programming), Python was the first language I found. I have no idea how I came across it, but I downloaded it and started learning about it. I didn't get very far, but it will always have a special place in my heart.

However, I have no idea what it's purpose was. It seemed completely useless, and I still don't know how to work it. I hate Python I thought it was used for web development, but seeing it's under the software development forum, I guess it's used for software development. It's a bad language in my opinion, I didn't know what was going on when I was using it.
