Hi.
In the past I've always seen that in order to store online submitted data, you need to have Frontpage server extensions or SQL Server installed on the server.
However, I was wondering if there was anyway of submitting and saving information into a database without having to install something onto the server?
Reason I ask is because I want to create an online form, however I don't have access to the servers to go installing things like frontpage server extensions etc.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
I suppose could always store data in a file in a delimited format.
You should just send the form information to their Emails untill they give you permissions! I have the same problem where i work, they want me to do things but they don't give me full permissions to the databse or half the information I need untill it is too late =(
or like the man said above just save it to a file.
I think there is a way to unzip, write and rezip a file if you want to keep it compressed. If that is the route you are going I'll see if i can find that for you because we use it on the log files here.
