About 15 minutes ago, my computer was slowing down and I noticed that Firefox was using 600,000 kb of memory.
Does anybody know this is happening? Could it be an extension that I have installed in Firefox?
Do you have an ATI graphics card and are you in Linux? This same thing happens to me with ATI and LINUX. I think there is a memory link.

Well it might be an extension too.... Currently mine is using 123,236kb.
Were you on a flash site or something like that?
No I'm using Windows and I don't know about the graphic card. At the time I was on Code call.
So i don't really know.
I know what you mean! Recently I sometimes find that FF stops responding. I call up the Task Manager, and not only is it high, but it's increasing by the second! Definitely a memory leak - hmm, it usually happens when I'm using CC, but then again, I'm always using CC...
Well... I have like 20 tabs open, all CC threads. I'm only using 155,792.
When I used one of the old forum skins, firefox would often halt a script but not on the theme I'm using now. I think it's more likely that were using a common extension that doesn't work well.
I had code call open yesterday and it was at 600,070 and rising by the second but I think it was caused by something else.
There are several scripts that execute when you visit CC but I don't think any cause a problem. It is entirely possible though.
It did cause a problem in the past but I don't think it's a problem now. Cause it happens when I'm off code call as well.![]()
Firefox version.. something I forget had a memory leak, but they supposedly patched it in their most recent version. Try upgrading your version.
