Apache & IIS

I have IIS up and running on port 80, I than set up apache with zend CE for port 8080. I turned IIS off and turnd on apache but when I type localhost into my browser it does not display the IIS page anymore which is good but it also dosent display anything from apache. Instead it shoots me out to google. I tried typing localhost:8080 as well with no results. Someone told me I would have to uninstall IIS to get apache to work ....... That is not an option. I need to be able to switch between the two depending on the development task at hand.

Is their a way to make them work on the same OS (no dual booting)

Did you type "http://localhost:8080/"?

WP is right, you need http in front of it for any port that is not 80.

that worked ^_^ thanks guys. I feel stupid now, but I would rather feel and look dumb than sit around bruding in ignorance, now i know for next time (^_^)
