Hey C.C, I have a problem I never had before. It seems my hdd is starting to fall apart. I don't really think of it but I still have the feeling it might be true. Anyways, the hdd spins oddly whenever I start a .mkv .avi or whatever movie type I open. So let's go back to when did the problem start...
*Flashback*
I had the laptop open for the whole night to download a bunch of movies... When I had download every movie I wanted I restarted the computer and let it cool down for a few hours... Hours later the computer boots up and loading winbloat xp... But; my winbloat xp doesn't start up properly I start to hear clicking noises and lowering my head to my laptops hdd slot... It spins a few times and then makes a clicking sound and repeat the same process again and again... So I tried to fix bad sectors, reseting my main "index" of the hdd and even giving it some light slaps... Nothing of those worked... I still have problems with loading and watching movies...
*End of Flashback*
So what might the problem be?
Is the header damaged? Or?
Please help me C.C![]()
Sounds like your read/write heads are bad if they are making a clicking noise. This means you'll need a new HD fairly soon.
You can get it all back, no data is gone forever. I've been through numerous HD crashes.
It's all still there, data doesn't go anywhere. You just need the right recovery tools.
Then I will get such tools and programs to recover my data back.
If your read/write heads have damaged sectors these tools are useless. You can pay a service to retrieve your data but they are expensive. We recovered a smashed HD and it cost around $1,500.
I hope it won't be expensive...
I don't know how to fix or retrieve data from a damaged HD. Perhaps Meth0dz knows a method?
Nope, you have to have some specialized hardware, no?
