USB speakers for ps2 ?

Hi, I have my playstation hooked up to my computer moniter and have no way of getting sound from it. I figured I could get some USB speakers and hook them into the port on the front of the playstation to get sound. I just need to know if this will work before I go purchase the speakers

I doubt it will work. You can buy converters though to convert from the RSA connectors that PS2 use to the single connector of PC Speakers.

By 'single connector' do you mean a 3.5mm composite jack?

Oh, OK - there are different PC sound outputs. Does the PS2 not have such an output (like a headphone output or something)?
