I jsut want to know, because it'd make things so much easier for me if I could just draw directly. If there's any that are good, could someone post a link?

I have an older HP tablet PC with a docking station. I use it often at home even though I have two other laptops that are twice as powerful. I don't do development work on it though but I use it to check this forum, surf the web and read books.
So how is the touch quality? Not too jittery, I hope.

Not bad at all. You can't touch it with your finger or regular pen but only the stylus that it comes with. Not sure what it has in it.
Ah, so it's alright if I rest my hand on it while I'm drawing? Cuz the other tablet I tried at Circuit City (it was some kinda HP) didn't let me do that.
Well this is good news for me because I was using chalk and an electric hot plate I made to train myself not to rest my hand. It hurt... badly...
Exactly what model are you using?

On mine, yes it is alright if you rest your hand on it. In fact, when you are calibrating it you are instructed to rest your palm on the screen. I also have an HP though and it is a bit old (2 years).
This is the tablet my buddy has. If you buy the Extended battery it will last about 6 hours. With the defaut battery it lasts almost 4.

I like it A LOT
I would reccomend wacom intuos 3 - size what you want. I have A6 for myself and it's great if one plays with hand-drawing, pen doesn't use batteries.Although it has big disadvantage - high price... :/
