    Average Battery Life?

Well The laptop I'm buying has an average of 2 hours.. well is that enough? I see laptops with 3 hours and over.

    Is the battery upgradeable?

Mine has two hours, and It's usually enough for me. Generally speaking, you can find better batteries than the one provided by default; that will extend your battery life by 20-30%. Also note dimming your screen saves a lot of battery life, and turning off your wireless card if you do not plan on using the internet is also a power saving tip I've found.

Mine started out being 3 hours but both my main and backup battery now only last around 1 hour or less. 2 Hours should be fine though. You might want to consider getting a docking station for use at home.

Hmm, why would I need a docking station?

They are convenient. You set your laptop down on it, it charges from the power supply, has lan connection (from wire), keyboard, mouse, and most important - you can hook up dual monitors this way. It replaces your desktop but goes where you go.

With an average amount of work on it,mine goes for two and a half but it clearlly depends on what you are doing.
You can always get a backup.

Well this eventually will end up as my main computer so I will do all sort of things on it, from basic chatting, to image editing, to cod4 and crysis!

Thats really not a good idea - unless you are considering getting a Core 2 Extreme processor. The first laptop I got was an Alienware - I could, and have, used it as my main computer, as it can do basic chatting, image editing, movie rendering, and playing cod4 [crysis poorly]. Long story short, between the processor, memory requirements, and video card - the battery life is about 80 minutes under a normal load, less than an hour under a heavy load, and it also weighs 13lbs. After that experience, I would never buy another "all-in-one" laptop again.

Also a 5400 RPM hd will cause screen lag when playing COD4/Crysis.

You need a fast HD with every game and it still sounds like a helicopter.
For all the chatting and editing and stuff i dont think that you'll have serious battery consumption but crisis (i hate that game btw). And lets be realistic here, even if you had a full 3 hours of game play,i dont think that there are many gammers out there that would only play for 3 hours ! Get a socket and plug it in !
