Default Virtual Memory ... Windows XP
hi...i just upgraded my ram from 2gb to 3 gb... but the virtual memory appears to be the same like that was for 2gb ram (initial memory: 2046 MB and 4096 MB). Now with the 3gb ram the recommended initial virtual memory is 4603 MB.. But when i try to change the memory i get an error saying that my initial memory should be equal to 4096 MB (recommended initial virtual memory for 3GB ram is 4603 MB).. but it only shows 2046MB and cant be changed to a different value..

how can i change the value from 2046 to 4603MB... any suggestions?

Is windows detecting the change in RAM? and does your Motherboard support 3Gb of RAM?
