I have a mic that I want to use for recording on my desktop (running win 7). The mic works on my laptop (also running win 7) but not my desktop. The problem is that it is read as line-in instead of mic in. I tried to set the mic as default re cording device but "set device as default" is greyed out.
I have spent the last hour and a half looking threw google and yahoo trying all the tips on there. I still can't get my mic to work thou.
any help would be appreciated.
Have u tried updating the drivers/windows 7?
I've had a similar problem, i just installed windows 7, it could detect my microphone but before i could actually use it i had to install additional updates with windows 7.
Yah, I tried that. It said my drivers were up to date
