Yes, it is called NAT (Network Address Translation). You run your Internet into a router. The router will assign all of the computers on your network a private internal IP address and forward all connection through your Internet connection device.
Kesahey,
If these are Windows systems you can use Internet Connection Sharing, for more info take a look at support.microsoft.com/kb/234815 Description of Internet Connection Sharing When using ICS the computer sharing the connection must be always turned on. What OS are you using?
Try use Wireless or ETHERNET.
I managed to accomplish this using my programming knowledge and a single ethernet cable between the two computers.
On the computer that receives internet you go into internet options in network and choose "share my internet connection across the network", I also had to select "allow network users to modify the device" AND on the other computer you need to set your DNS and Router to the IP of the internet machine.
The easiest thing to do, as mentioned in the first post, is the go buy a simple router. You don't need anything fancy. Plug the cable from your modem into the WAN port on your router(may be labeled "internet" or "WAN"), and then plug each of your computers network cards into one of the available LAN ports(may be labeled "network" or LAN). If you have wireless cards in your computers, you can also get a wireless router, though depending on your knowledge level, it may be more of a hassle to setup, but only slightly, and you can always post back here for more help.
