PC Beep Error on Startup

So.

Semi-new pc on startup. 3 Long Beeps. or 5... not sure. I think 3 long beeps. then it repeats it a 2nd time.

Ideas?

Online says a keyboard error...

have you searched the dell web page for "beep codes" and your model? what is your dell model?

I think I know what the problem might be !
I had an old compaq I wanted to use as server. It didn't have USB ports enough for a keyboard. Also I didn't have a PS/2 keyboard laying around. However I started up the computer and I got a Beep sound and some errors and the computer didn't proceed the load up.
In your case it might be it can't find the keyboard. Checked if it's really in and if keyboard works?
