    Is it possible?

I am wondering, is this possible, my friend is claiming that you can force to a higher screen resolution, than the default. My max resolution is 1024x768 using a 14.1 inch screen.
Now he is claiming that I can get up to 1200x800 in resolution, while I can only get 1024x768.
So my question is, is it possible to what he is claiming, myself I am skeptical and know nothing about "possibilities..."

It is possible. He will ahve to find Display drivers for a newer videocard and/or monitor that will let him do that. I did that a LONG time ago with my ctr.

It is possible, but probably not recommended.

I did it on a crt monitor too. As i recall that monitor died a couple months after. Still not sure if it was related to that.
