the fan of my 8800GT is broken, when it spins, it touches the side of the fan case. i have the GC for about 6 months now, and havent had problems until about 2 weeks. it makes a strange noise. the fan is not horizontally attached anymore. its still firmly attacked. i tried to fix it but i dont know how.
what should i do?
If it's under warranty, I'd call the manufacturer. Otherwise, you're probably going to need to buy a new fan.
how can i buy a new fan for my 8800GT?
i dont know if i still have the warranty. but i'll ofcourse look for it. just i want to know if i can somehow do it myself.
You can buy computer parts online from a variety of retailers, or you may have a local computer parts store.
Xav, he's talking about a fan mounted on a graphics card, not a case fan
Well I would recommend to visit.Really good site to find computer parts and etc.Code:http://www.newegg.com/
when i get a accelero s1 rev2, and install it. (it's compatable with 8800GT), can i remove the power line to the fan of my 8800GT?
