Very odd. As a temporary fix,try setting "File Download" to no, it will make the browser handle the download itself instead of IonFiles forcing the download header.

I can't read the entire link but it looks like there is a space in the file name. That may be the problem. Can you post the link to the file here?

settings the download file to No, makes the download work.
what is exactly the difference between setting it to yes or no ? i plan to have files on the server, but i also want to link files on other servers. will both work if i set it always to No ? |

There is a difference in the headers. Setting to yes causes a forced download. Setting to no simply forwards to the URL. I'll plug your file in and run some tests. Thanks for the bug find.

Hello,
I downloaded this, and installed the component on my Joomla site. I can then go to Components>Config/Category/Files Manager, etc. However, how can I make the download place go on my site? Actually, here is what I want to do. I have some pages setup already with a bunch of information. Each page has a list of downloads currently (as links). I want each page to have a format, with download count, etc. with those downloads. How do I embed this download component into the body of my pages? Thanks |

I don't think you can embed it into a page although it may be possible. The way that most people will use this component is making a link to it from the Menu. Select one of your menus and add a new link. Make that link a "Component Link" which points to ionFiles.
