I am having issue on the back end with Ionfiles that I cannot figure out.
The problem is as follows: When I load in to manage files, I am unable to view more than 1 page. If I select the page view to 50, when I press next, only 5 items show up. No matter what I do, I cannot view items 51-60. Item 61 shows up on the last page. I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall to no avail. Please help since I need to edit file #60 and I cannot get to it. Thanks I am running version 4.2 on Joomla 1.0 Larry Last edited by LSK6453; 04-23-2008 at 01:58 PM. |

ionFiles updated to version 4.3! There are many new features and bug fixes. I recommend you everyone upgrade to this version.

Upgrading or new installation? As stated in the initial thread, upgrading will result in errors. This is because the structure of the tables changed. What do the errors state?
Also, please create a new thread when posting bugs rather than posting in this massive thread.

(I'm one of those ppl that ask for lots of stuff they don't really need btw.. bare with me)
1. XHTML verification would be good ![]() 2. I would love the ability to link to single categories && complete list of downloads instead of just the complete list 3. Little "Updated" or "New" maybe even "Hot"/"Featured"/"Picked" icons in the download tables! 4. Automatic icon assignment for know file types (or if it's too much work selecting the icon from a dropdown instead of having to type in the icon locations.. maybe read the list from a user specified directory in the config menu) 5. (Not sure if this is even possible) Scanning a specified location for new files and auto-creating links... for larger sites this could be useful, don't have a suggestion on how to deal with link descriptions etc however. 6. This is what I'm really missing (and I'll try to explain it as best as my English allows): The possibility to add a disclaimer page/install instruction page before accessing any download. I work around this by all my "download file" links in articles linking to a disclaimer and the disclaimer pointing to the download page.. but this makes visitors click through the disclaimer and then browse all downloads to find the file, I would love it if they could click download on the disclaimer and get the file, without having to create a brand new disclaimer for each file. Hmmm.. I just realized that direct download links isn't what this component is for but I struggled to make that (almost understandable) explanation so I'll leave it in just in case! 7. Ability to customize (via CSS) how the download tables look. 8. Final one, I promise: IP logging of external download attempts! (I'd like to know if anyone is trying to leech off me) Erm.. I love the current version really, it was easy to setup and does EXACTLY what it's supposed to.. so I'll stop while I'm ahead... |
