I've just installed version 1.5...I am unable to change order of my downloads. I've read through this thread and thus far, no changes have worked.

Think you could help me? I'm using this to link to download mirrors and I've killed one mirror with bandwidth cuz I had it near the top I'd like to re-order the largest mirror to the top.

Error trying to access Admin part of IonFiles

After using the 1.5 ionfiles.pho, the component seems to install Ok.
However, when I try to access the component on the backend (logged-in as administrator) I get lots of errors and the browser displayes some kind of sourcecode instead of what i would expect.

I include a screendump as attachment.

Then after clicking 'Ok' a hundred times, it brings me back in the main Joomla admin screen.

Any clues how to resolve this?

    Regards

I noticed that the version in the downloads says 1.4 while your post says that latest is 1.5.

    Any clues?

    Thanks
Are you running Joomla! on Windows? What version are you running?

There is patch in a couple of posts back - Project: ionFiles - Joomla Simple File Download

The "ORDER BY" was missing in the front end at this release. This has been integrated and will be fixed in the next version.

This is very odd and I've never seen this error before nor do I know what is causing it. Have you changed anything? Try uploading the files using an FTP client instead of the Joomla! Installer.

I've downloaded this, uploaded it/overwrote and it still does not allow me to re-order any of the downloads...at the top of the file manage page it has the following when I hit an up arrow to move the download up: com_ionfiles /orderupF. Then when I try and drop one down: com_ionfiles / orderdownF

Could you setup a temporary Joomla! account for me and PM the information to me on your website so that I can login and see what is happening?

Somehow your ordering has really become skewed. There should never be two files with the same Ordering ID and everything I tried using the back end wouldn't correct the problem. You can do two things here:

    1) Remove all files and re-add them. Make sure that each one has a different Order Number.

    - OR -

    2) Go into your MySQL DB (using phpMyAdmin or whatever client you choose) and change the "Ordering" field numbers in a sequential order starting with 0.

Once the order is fixed I believe this will work correctly. I did find one bug, the Order Save button doesn't seem to function correctly. I will do more testing on this and update it in the next version. If you need help doing the options above just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to help.

I think this might be my PHP version or MySQL version. I'm running php 5.1.6 that ships with CentOS 5. Also, MySQL 5.0.22 which also is what is installed by yum.

So perhaps this is a problem with those versions?

    lowercase table name

for the best compatability, i would like to see that the table names would be changed to lowercase (possibly with a _ in between) because right now, ionfiles is NOT compatible with joomfish.

No, this shouldn't cause the problems you see. It is working correctly but something has gone wrong and caused the ordering to mess up. I believe it will work if you do as I suggested above.

I will consider changing this, will you be willing to beta test?
