    Hey Mein,
Something looks a little messed up on your download section. Your description looks like it is actually the URL. I'm sending you a PM.

    Question Installing ionfiles

Call me stupid, but I downloaded your file that you have linked from Joomla. I have couple of issues.

    1. it's not packaged as a component
    2. when i go to install the file using Joomla's installer, I recieve an error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function com_install() in C:\Program Files\EasyPHP 2.0b1\www\joomla\administrator\components\com_inst aller\component\component.class.php on line 193
So, my question - do you have one that is packaged correctly or am I missing something here?

    Thanks.
    J.

Everything installs fine here. I'm not sure how well it works on Windows Installations though. Try downloading the package again in case the one you received is corrupt.

    Joomla is compatible with Windows.
And I have used this component on some Live projects.

Try to find a linux webhost perhaps,
Maybe the next version will have this problem fixed.

well i will be using apache, but the problem is the initial install via Joomla admin installer.
files are not being copied correctly, and i've noticed missing files that should have been packaged according to Joomla component. Either way, I installed DOCMAN, and it's work fine.
    thanks

Did you download from this webpage? I checked the zip and all files are necessary files are included along with the proper XML file.

After looking at your error again it seems that you may be using an older version of Joomla? Is this true?
