Thanks for all your help Marwex and WingedPanther. Sorry for not starting a new thread as i thought it would be helpful because the code i had questions on was in the thread itself.

I didn't know asking about statements was a loaded question, i'll be sure to look it up : )

Not a problem. However, as a point of reference, C++ has a list of operators that takes up 2 pages (with precedence indicated). Statement syntax is one page (in a recursive format that references other items such as declarations, type specifies, etc.).
