C# Programming C# (pronounced C-sharp) is a new object oriented language from Microsoft and is derived from C and C++. It also borrows a lot of concepts from Java too including garbage collection.

Don't get me wrong, XML is great but try storing 1,000,000 rows of data in an XML file and see how fast you can retrieve row 596,102.

Easy peasy in C#:

assuming 'doc' is the System.Xml. XmlDocument containing the XML data.
XmlNode row = doc.ChildNodes[596102 - 1];
See? XML docs can be referenced as arrays, objects, the lot. The node 'row' now contains the properties Attributes, ChildNodes and InnerText. Easy, eh?

I would suggest you make a simple program where you can add clients, add booking, delete clients, delete booking, modify clients/booking etc.. etc...

That will get you used to Arrays, ArrayLists, DateTime, if statements, loops, cases, etc....

Maybe an interesting calculator - you type in your name, and it guesses your personality based on some random algorithm?
