Hi everyone, I'm new here!
I'm primarily networking based but I'm at University and for my dissertation decided to go in a programming direction for it for a good challenge. I've done a tiny bit of C++ (very basic stuff) in the past but that's about it.
Basically for my dissertation I intend to write an application for windows mobile 6 Pro that will use GPS to determine your location, then it'll integrate with facebook and update your status with a URL showing where on google maps in the world you are!
Now, what would the best language be for me to use? I'm guessing either C# or Vb?
I've picked up a copy of C# for dummies and have been working through that but it seems like it's going to be impossible for me to learn a programming language and write the program in a few months!
Could anyone give me any advice on where to start off, what to look at and the best way of tackling this mammoth task please? I'd like to learn to program in more detail, but I just need enough knowledge to get this dissertation out the way first!
Thanks in advance
Jamie
