What is C#?

yeah what is C# ? i havent encounter that language yet, is it also a programming language like c and c++?

It is a .NET programming language... not exactly as c/c++

It has a very similar syntax to C/C++, but has access to a range of classes and objects that are part of the .NET Framework, which also provides methods of drawing GUI forms and stuff.

Is it just as easy to learn as VB?

The syntax is more difficult because it looks less like English, but once you learn it, you can program in JS, PHP and even C/C++ with much less effort.

I wouldn't say that it's the language of choice for all windows and web developers using .NET. There are a lot of .NET languages. Such as VB.NET, Delphi.NET, J#.NET, C++.NET and a lot more.

I haven't used a lot of .NET languages, but I did like C#.NET

I don't know. Well back to C# Hm, is there a version of C# that isn't .NET? Cause I can't try .NET and I like to be able to play with several languages.
