    DPI Converting

How can I convert between different DPIs? For instance, I'd like to draw a ruler but I've found there is no way to do this with everyone's DPI being different.

So, for me I may have 32 dots per inch but you may have 72....

I'm not real sure because I'm not that great at programming but I do know a little about DPI. As I understand it, an Inch is an Inch is an Inch meaning that if you do anything in Inches it will always = inches no matter what DPI. That goes for monitors, resolution, printers, etc.

Yeah but if he is working with pixels for example if you have 800x600 an inch may be for example 50pixels while I who have 1024x768 one inch may be 100pixels! hmm not sure on how to do that but!!
