Community Project! - Recent project gone sour

I was recently hired to do a project for a website that automatically pulls updates and displays them on the screen. The software checks for updates every couple of minutes. However, the guy stopped responding to me and I don't believe this project is going anywhere (even though I put several hours into it).

I was wondering if anyone would like to start a "community" project where the software actually updates from the RSS feed here at codecall and will display new posts. Anyone interested?

Sounds like a good idea Crane. If you are willing I'll create a community project forum and have this project as the first one.

That sounds like a great idea! When can we start?

That does suck that it went sour. I've done some freelance work before and never gotten paid so I know how it feels. Are you going to pursue getting paid in anyway?

Sounds like a good idea though, I'm in on it!

Created a forum for this type of thing. Your project will be the first one Crane! Congrats.
