Dev C++ and a newer compiler

    Hi all,

I really like Bloodshed's Dev C++ ide and used it on and off for a while. The problem I have with the IDE is the fact that the compiler is getting old now and I wouldn't mind using a newer version of said compiler (GCC/G++). Actually I wouldn't mind updating all parts of the ide other then the ide itself that being the compiler, linker, pre compiler, debugger, and so forth. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a single tutorial on how to switch the older software out and was wondering if anyone could give me a hand?

I would just download MinGW and install it to the same location that Dev-C++ installs it. You could also just use wxDev-C++, which is more updated.

Actually I should of said MinGW and WxDev_C++ uses the same exact version of the compiler. But thanks for the idea of installing MinGW in the directory.
