I was wondering.. how do you track your websites' income? And monitor that each and every advertiser is actually paying you?
I have a spreadsheet with 3 different tabs. The first sheet is a summary/graph sheet. The second sheet is a monthly ad type tracker and the third sheet is the individual advertisers with contact information, link type, etc. I never put an ad on without payment first so there is no tracking that they actually paid me.
Hmm... to the contrary, I'm paid every month... and first I put on the adverts, and then get paid.
What is the use of the graph? what do you compare? ads/month? $/month?
It shows monthly income for the current year.
Well I started tracking from last month (April)... because I got quite some advertisers, but yeah, it's a good idea to compare month by month and see if it's doing better or not.
Now I'm waiting to be paid for the month of May, after that I guess I'll make a graph... it's a good idea.
Anyone got more methods that might want to share?
I only have one means of income for my website so it is easy to track.
