I read an article about a guy who makes $700 a day from like 30 websites he owns. He said the secret he had was that he set goals.
I think that goals should be set but shouldn't be set to high. If you are making $0.30 a day now you should set your goal reasonable. Say $1.00 a day and then once you reach $1.00 set to $3.00 and so on. If you make 1 sell a week aim for 3.

I forgot to ask, do you set goals and if so, what/how?

I set goals. I have short-term (1 year or less) and long term. The problem with my long term is that they always end up changing before I reach them.
I often set personal goals as well as business goals.
I also try to set goals, but I am too easily distracted. Usually with my sites, I hit a deadend, i.e. waiting on something or other.
However, I believe goals are the way to success, I have some time off at the moment and am trying to get as much done as I can with a couple of sites set to be launched soon!
My long-term goal is $30/day with AdSense, and I think that's realistic. I just figured out a great way to build links, and I'm optimizing keywords pretty well... but I'm still at like $0.01 a day with AdSense (I get that penny from CPM ads).
Yes, I set business goals. You should always set goals for a business before you start.
I think that is realistic. It may take a while to build the traffic and then the clicks but i have seen people earn more from adsense.Originally Posted by Kaabi

Sure do. Just started up my own business in my area and it is only a short term thing working alongside a tv station's promotion. But I plan to make a few thousand from it in the next 5 weeks. If I make more sweet.
I hope that works out. That guy who said his secret was setting goals, I think that's a BS secret. It should be like "I focused all my advertising funds into one medium, and developed a very compelling and intriguing advert." That would be a good secret.
Yeah hopefully I receive a ton of students to contact me in interest, I posted on our university's job listing that I was looking for 1000 people to apply to make videos and that 10 minutes would earn them 25$ in cash.
Investing my own capital into this and will make double what I put in basically. I don't actually plan on getting 1000 people to be interested, my goal is 200, which would be 5000$ for me, which is about 2/3 my tuition. We'll see how it goes, will let everyone know this week if I'm busy busy or just lying down dead.
