I am looking for a used IPB License,
If anyone has one and like to sell it for a cheaper Price, plz contact me.
Invision Power Board, aye? You should get vBulletin instead. vBulletin is great software.
Hey I'm not quite sure if there is or not, but is there a section to advertise my website?
Thanks!

People on VB sites always say VB is better. People on IPB sites say IPB is better. I continue to use IPB on my sites, but I STRONGLY STRONGLY STRONGLY point out that their staff are rude, cocky people. Their staff laughed at me for bug reports MANy times whichw ere then proven to eb legit bugs later on. They said co9ntroversial things politically in their general discussion area and then banned me for my own views being different than theirs.
They threatened to file a police report if I submit another ticket about my account status even though I only submitted a few tickets over half a year, not xconstant tickets.
Just go to their support forums now and notice that wehn people bring up their concern about IPB 3.0 being slow they TALK DOWN to the customer. "Another of these?" They constantly act like their software is something free which customers have no right to criticize.
I stick with them because I learned their system well and have converted my programs to work on 3.0 also. I also think it's better. But I hate supporting such rude people.
Anyway I have 2 perpetual licenses. I would sell one, but the stupid company stopped allowing license transfers. The only way you can buy them is if you buy a whole ACCOUNT. And my account has 2 perpetuals, 1 active gallery, 1 inactive gallery, and 2 inactive blog. I'm not selling all of that. Plus it would be buying a banned account as far as their company forums go.
I wish I could sell one of them honestly. But the only way would be if I find another perpetual for myself and then sell both of mine.
I've never had a problem with the vBulletin staff problem but I haven't ever submitted a bug report either. It is good to hear a perspective from an owner of IPB though. Is version 3.0 slow?
Many people report that it is and then many say they don't have problems. But the oens who say they have no problem are usually the same ones who keep saying VB is copying IPB and they bash VB sonctantly. Even IPS admints that BOTH have used features the other had first.
I am using 3.0 live despite it being an RC version and honestly it doesn't seem as slow to me anymore, BUT my site is basically dead. It's me posting to myself and rarely someone else will psot, so it's hard for me to judge personally. So far the bugs aren't too horrible despite it being RC 1. RC2 is being used on their company forums and it seems much slower and they have run into some issue.
I like some things better on both of those types. I don't even think freee phpbb software is "horrible". But when it comes down to it, I just am used to IPB, I have coded with their setup in mind, etc... I personally think VB looks better, but most people say the skinning is what's worse about VB so I guess everyone has their own opinions.
Now I submit bug reports through tickets if I badly want to be sure they know about them for my own good. lol I'm good at noticing bugs usually.
edit: by the way IE 8 was where it was especially slow all along. So it may still be performing better in FF. I don't like FF, however.
I've always liked the looks and functionality of VB better, but I am biased. Do you know which has the larger user database?
I dislike PHPBB and most free forum systems. Once you've gone commercial, they just don't add up.
You mean as far as VB vs. IPB which has more using it? VB definitely outnumbers IPB installations and most big sites are using VB. Really the most active IPB site is usually idolforums.com (still using an older version). But if the sites which are big and active randomly switched from vb to ipb it wouldn't do anything to the userbase anyway. So in other words I don't think someone would join or not join a site based on whether it's IPB or VB.
Some people who were used to VB told me IPB is confusing to them though when they had never used it.
Would you switch to vbulletin if you received a free license?
